Dr. Posner joined GVEC in the fall of 2001 after practicing in England for a year. She earned her M.R.C.V.S. (the British equivalent of a D.V.M.) at the Royal Veterinary College after securing a B.S. degree in Animal Science at the School of Agriculture at Cornell. Dr. Posner grew up in Ithaca, New York, where she was a member of Pony Club. During high school and college she spent several years working in Marcia Kulak’s advanced level eventing barn.
A former All-American and All-East collegiate polo player, Dr. Posner has a strong interest in sports medicine, polo and eventing. Her GVEC case load includes all aspects of equine medicine, and she has a special interest in performance horse problems.
Dr. Posner is married to Dr. Nathan Christian, a small animal veterinarian practicing at his own clinic in South Lima. In her spare time, Dr. Posner pursues her interests in polo and eventing with her two ex-racehorse thoroughbreds.
