All of our veterinarians handle routine eye problems. Standing surgeries for corneal and periocular problems are performed at the GVEC clinic facility, as is enucleation under injectable anesthesia. Dr. Dwyer has a special interest in equine ophthalmology. She evaluates cases that are referred to GVEC with advanced diagnostic equipment including tonometry, slit lamp biomicroscopy and direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy. Dr. Dwyer works closely with referring veterinarians to provide counseling on the management of chronic conditions, and also consults with board certified ophthalmologists on complicated cases.
