Dr. Nydimar Rivera-Gonzalez, “Nydi,” completed her undergraduate work at the University of Puerto Rico Cayay/Universidad Interamericana Recinto Metro, graduating in 2018. She gained experience working in a small animal setting until attending veterinary school. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2024 and began her internship at GVEC in June of 2024.
Dr. Rivera-Gonzalez first sat on a horse at 4 years of age and has been infatuated ever since! While her parents tried to get her into ballet, she chose to stay with horses. She rode in both jumpers and Paso Fino classes. Dr. Rivera-Gonzalez does not currently own a horse but aspires to in the future. During her free time, Dr. Rivera-Gonzalez is a huge movie enthusiast and likes to play with her young Doberman, Voodoo.
Dr. Rivera-Gonzalez does not have a specific area within equine medicine that has caught her interest yet. She is excited to learn more about the field, to work with horses each day, and to learn from the great team of doctors here at GVEC.
