Surgical Services
We are able to perform many elective surgical procedures. A licensed veterinary technician delivers general anesthesia under the direction of the veterinarians performing surgery. Enucleation, cryptorchid castration, umbilical hernia repair, wound revision and a variety of miscellaneous procedures are done in our padded surgery/recovery stall. Surgical patients can stay overnight in our hospital so that the horse can be monitored frequently by our staff post operatively. Castration and uncomplicated wound repair are routinely handled at the farm or stable.
