Customer Service Representative

 

Position Summary:

The Customer Service Representative’s (CSR) role is to perform secretarial-type duties and provide administrative and organizational support for doctors, clients, co-workers, and other professionals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support: Professionally answer multi-line telephone system; take accurate messages; process client information on computer system; process incoming and outgoing mail
  • Veterinary Support: Apply knowledge of company policies, procedures, and pricing, to best meet the clients’ needs; maintain a working knowledge of patient records and have the ability to notice and adjust corrections as appropriate; horse-handling opportunities available if the individual is interested and able; prepare and maintain veterinary appointment schedules
  • Data and Documentation: Ensure medical records are complete; maintain files in an organized and accessible manner; ensure client and patient records are complete and accurate; record client interaction with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments
  • Financial Support: Process payments; maintain the petty cash drawer with proper documentation.
  • Staff Interaction: Train co-workers and students; participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities.
  • Housekeeping and Safety: Perform routine housekeeping and maintain hospital standards in various areas to ensure a safe and professional workspace.
  • Other Assigned Tasks as Needed: Oversee office inventory supplies; input and complete the audit process of entered invoices; other tasks not specified.

Experience

Prior client services experience is helpful.

Equine knowledge and skill are helpful.

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

This job does not require horse handling.
